Which Bible Tour in Rome is Right for You?

When booking with BIBLE TOURS ROME JW, many friends feel undecided about which experience best suits their needs. First, I would like to explain that the variety of tours available serves two main purposes:
Specialization: It allows for theme-based tours that are more coherent and detailed, providing a complete and enlightening view of a specific subject.
Variety for the Leader: It allows the tour leader to keep the content fresh and engaging (performing the exact same standard tour every single day, sometimes twice a day, can be quite taxing!).
With that in mind, here are some parameters to help you decide which tour is the best fit for your situation.

You have limited time or it’s your first time in Rome
In this case, I suggest the "Early Christians in Rome" tour. It is our most comprehensive Bible tour and includes the Colosseum (from the outside). Please keep in mind that this is also the tour with the most walking; however, if needed, you can purchase the "mid-tour break" supplement to rest.
If you have another half-day available and your budget allows, I suggest pairing it with the "City Tour". Together, these two tours cover the main highlights of Rome. Note: If you are the only booking for the second tour, you will receive a €25 discount.
You want a deep dive or can do multiple tours
If you want a complete picture of the Apostle Paul’s activity in the city, I recommend booking both "Paul in Rome: 1st Imprisonment" and "2nd Imprisonment". Doing both provides a seamless historical narrative. Note: If you are the only booking for the second tour, you will receive a €25 discount.
You want to see the Colosseum but walk less
The best choice for you is the "Jesus and Rome" tour. The walking distance is under 2 miles, compared to the approximately 2.5 miles of the "Early Christians" tour.
You have already seen all the main Biblical sites in Rome
The ideal choices here are the "City" and the "Apostasy in Rome" tours. These cover everything not included in the standard Bible tours, such as sites related to Medieval, Papal, and Modern Rome (though they still include a few Ancient Roman monuments not directly linked to the first-century congregation).
You are traveling with children or have limited stamina
The tour with the shortest route is "Paul in Rome: 1st Imprisonment" (approx. 1 mile). It includes a visit to the Tiber Island—young ones always enjoy seeing the river up close. This tour is centered on the theme of obedience and contains no information that might be considered too graphic for sensitive ears.
You are arriving on a cruise ship (Shore Excursion)
For those who only have the central hours of the day available, we have designed the "Rome Shore Experience". By selecting this service in our request form, it will be clear that your schedule is restricted to the time between your arrival at the port and your ship's departure.
Final Tips for your Bible Tour in Rome
I highly recommend opening the individual tour boxes on our Services page to read the specific stops and descriptions. The images provided will help you get into the right "mood" for each experience.
Please Note:
Accessibility: All tours involve walking and are unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility difficulties, even the shorter routes (please see our BEFORE YOU BOOK page for details).
Site Access: No tours include entrance to the Colosseum or any internal archaeological sites; these will be viewed and discussed from the outside.
I hope these suggestions help you choose your next spiritual experience with BIBLE TOURS ROME JW!
