If you would like to book a tour with us, you may be wondering about the correct Rome Bible tour dress code for the weather, the type of itinerary, and the seriousness of the topics covered, which are very similar to those in our Christian meetings.
Modesty Meets Practicality: the Rome Bible Tour Dress Code
Let's get one thing straight: Bible tours are not meetings. They don't begin or end with prayer. They are not part of the official teaching program of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. This means that, although Christians always dress modestly, common sense dictates that we favor comfortable and practical clothing for this type of activity; elegance is not necessary.
Inside Roman Churches
There's just one consideration: if you've booked a tour that includes churches, such as the City Tour or the Apostasy and Rome tour, the dress code for places of worship requires pants that cover at least the knees (so shorts are fine as long as they cover the knees) and shoulders to be covered (tank tops and similar items are not acceptable). Men must also remove their hats inside churches.
Surviving the "Sanpietrini"
Rome's historic center can present obstacles similar to those of an easy hiking trail: uneven surfaces and cobblestones, potholes, steps, roots protruding from the ground, puddles and slippery surfaces, and climbs and descents. This requires suitable footwear. Heels are strongly discouraged. Don't wear the shoes you would wear for a romantic stroll downtown or to the Kingdom Hall; you may end up with sore feet at the end of the tour, or you may not be able to maintain the speed necessary to finish the tour on time while seeing all the stops.

Weather-Ready
Regarding clothing, choose comfortable and practical clothing and dress in layers, because even in winter, rain can change to sunshine in a matter of minutes, and you may overheat.
In summer, ALWAYS wear a hat to protect your head from the sun, and if your skin requires it, use sunscreen.
As a general rule, always check the weather forecast before heading out and be careful when deciding whether to bring an umbrella or a poncho, or both, as the tour will not be canceled for light rain.
I hope these simple tips have clarified some of the issues you may have been concerned about, so you can enjoy your next Bible tour!
